Travel Itinerary:
Day 01 - Seward
Depart Anchorage to Seward. The Kenai Peninsula offers a stunning drive
with its pine forests and tall peaks. On arrival in Seward, transfer 9
miles by water taxi to your overnight accommodation. Evening
marine-life cruise in Kenai Fjords National Park; view whales, sea
lions, dolphins, sea otters, puffins and kittiwakes. Accommodation:
Orca Island Cabins. Featuring 3 sea side yurts and a floating cabin,
each offering stunning views, you’ll love Alaska’s relaxing seaside
lifestyle.
Day 02 - Valdez
Travel by Alaska Ferry system via the stunning Columbia Glacier.
Accommodation: Lake House B&B. Set in a sub-alpine area of lakes
located just above Valdez, the Lake House offers some impressive views
and great bird/wildlife viewing. As an added twist, the B&B is
owned by John Devens, the Mayor of Valdez during the devastating Exxon
Valdez oil spill. Makes for some interesting breakfast conversation
indeed!
Day 03 - Richardson
Highway
Keep the camera handy; impressive views of Wrangell St-Elias NP around
every corner. The park is home to 9 of the 16 highest peaks in
N.America. Today’s route features 2 mountain passes of over 1000m each!
Accommodation: Black Rapids Inn. Located in the shadow of the Alaska
Range and Black Rapids Glacier, the impressive Inn, just completed in
2007, stands out prominently in the high alpine area. The lodge owners
are also restoring an original 1902 roadhouse.
Day 04 - Fairbanks
Located on the Chena River, visit the University of Alaska Museum or
Creamers Field. Accommodation: Aurora Express; authentic Alaska
Railroad cars renovated to historical periods located in a forested
area overlooking greater Fairbanks, the Tanana Valley, & Alaska
Mountain Range.
Day 05 - Denali
National
Park
Travel to Denali, home to North America’s tallest peak (Mt. McKinley
20,320ft). Accommodation: The Earthsong Lodge. Located just north of
the park entrance in the sub-alpine just about treeline, Earthsong was
hand built by owners, experienced 1000 mile Yukon Quest and Iditarod
Sled Dog racers. Each stay includes an introduction to this exciting
sport and do the care and handling of these wonderful animals.

Day 06 - Denali
National
Park
Wildlife tour into the heart of the park. Caribou, moose, grizzly bears, wolves and Dall sheep often seen.
Day 07 - Anchorage
Return to Anchorage along the Parks Highway. Visit Wasilla, home of the
Iditarod. Overnight: South Bluffs’s B&B. Located just south of
Anchorage, South Bluffs offers a style and comfort in Alaska. This all
suite B&B features spacious bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs, plush beds
with fine linens, and small kitchens for in room eating. The property
boasts a large hot tub overlooking the mountains and ocean, and decks
for enjoying meals or sunsets.
Day 08 - Anchorage
