3 days and 2 nights departing from  Fairbanks

View the beautiful and awe-inspiring aurora borealis in the shadow of Alaska’s Arctic circle, near Coldfoot, Alaska, recognized as one of the world’s best aurora viewing locations. Learn the fascinating story of Alaska’s Arctic as you travel through mining areas north of Fairbanks. Along the way, you’ll view the remarkable Trans Alaska Pipeline, traverse the mighty Yukon River and cross the Arctic Circle. You’ll also have the opportunity to try dog sledding or take a Brooks Mountain Range tour.

Travel Itinerary:

Day 1 Fairbanks – Coldfoot
Fly north, into Alaska’s Arctic, above the Arctic Circle, and land in rustic Coldfoot, Alaska. Arrive in time to enjoy lunch at the Trucker’s Café and get settled into your overnight accommodations. Evening aurora viewing expedition to the Gold Rush village of Wiseman.

Day 2 Coldfoot
Select from a variety of optional tours which include an excursion along the Dalton Highway, into the Brooks Mountain Range, as far north as Atigun Pass (weather permitting); a two-hour dog sledding experience with a local musher. We’ll depart once again this evening for aurora viewing in Wiseman.

Day 3 Fairbanks – Coldfoot
Ground tour begins by traveling south on the famed Dalton Highway; the solitary land route to Alaska’s Arctic wilderness. Along the way you’ll view the remarkable Trans Alaska Pipeline and traverse the frozen Yukon River and enjoy the nowsculpted
forest. At the Arctic Circle, we’ll pause to recognize your accomplishment and receive an official Arctic Circle certificate. Arrival by 9:00pm in Fairbanks. End
