Snowshoe along the coast of spectacular Prince William Sound in the remote town of Whittier. This is an amazing place to snowshoe with steep mountains all around, blue/green ocean, glacial fjords and wooded rolling hills. Drive through the scenic Portage Valley and through a unique two-mile-long road/railroad one way tunnel. We allow time for lunch at a local restaurant and get a chance to meet the locals. On the way home we see Alaska's wildlife like bears, moose, caribou and more at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.
